Tim: I was born to missionary parents in
Bangui, Central African Republic. When I was 5, my
family moved to France where my parents still
minister in an independent Baptist church in
Bordeaux. God in His grace saved me when I was only
5. At the age of 16, He gave me both a burden and
desire to labor in the Gospel ministry. In addition
to the preparation I received in the French
language and culture during my growing up years, I
then went on to pursue ministerial training by
completing a B.A. and an M.A. in Bible from Bob
Jones University and Seminary, plus a total of 60
hours toward an ongoing pursuit of a Master of
Divinity.
Ruth: I was privileged to be born into a
home where I was taught the Gospel from my earliest
days. The Lord saved me when I was only 4 years
old, and He has been deepening my appreciation for
His grace towards me ever since. Even as a young
person, I experienced a burden for missions which
only intensified during my years at Bob Jones
University (B.A. in Print Journalism, '98; M.M. in
Church Music, '00). Two summers traveling in Europe
with the university's Musical Mission Team sealed
my desire to serve in missions. So it is with much
joy and excitement that I now join my husband in
his calling of offering the hope of the Gospel to
the people of France.
We were married on September 23, 2000 and spent the
next three months as short-term missionaries to
France. For the past four years I have been senior
pastor of Cleveland Park Bible Church. We are now
privileged to have the church that I pastored and
the people we have come to love serve as our
sending church. The Lord has blessed us with two
children, Micaiah (born June 5, 2003) and Miriam
(born February 20, 2005).
