The first part of our Winter New England trip has taken us to 7 churches (2 in New Hampshire, 5 in Maine),over more than 2,000 miles and through lots of snow! We hope these pictures will give you a glimpse of the beauty we've seen (God's creation) and the joys we've shared with brothers and sisters in Christ (God's new creation).

Along the Road: Greetings from Maine

We may have enjoyed sunny Florida in January, but now we are experiencing the complete opposite extreme in wintry Maine in February. But the snow is a beautiful sight to these Southern missionaries, even if the locals would just prefer to see the end of it. The last week has been filled with good fellowship with likeminded believers, and we have been grateful to find a warm reception everywhere we have been despite the chilling temperatures.
Georgia/Florida Trip
The Bixbys and Coles loaded up on January 12, 2008, for our first pre-field ministry trip. We enjoyed excellent services together in Hiram, Georgia, and Spring Hill and Naples, Florida. We were inspired and enthused by the trip and made all the more eager to get to France. We were blessed with gracious hosts, generous churches and 80+ degree weather in the middle of January. The Coles returned to Spartanburg from Naples, but the Bixbys stayed in Florida another week for services in Bradenton, Florida, returning on January 31st, after 2,240.5 miles.
