Two prayer requests

4 April 2015 | by Bixby

You may remember our telling you of Farah, who was born again a year ago. She will be baptized in an afternoon service tomorrow, Easter Sunday, along with three or four other people at the Saint-Denis Church. FarahShe came to our home last Sunday night to go through her testimony with Ruth and me. Not having a background in the Bible, she comes up with her own illustrations. She said that when she was saved she felt “like a snake losing its old skin, like a caterpillar becoming a butterfly.” She said that after her conversion it was like “wearing glasses that she had never had before.” Her husband promises to be there, as do most of the others that made up the same Bible study I taught. Please pray for God to draw them as well.

Thanks, too for your continued prayers for my mom, Bonnie Bixby. Ruth and Gabriel just returned yesterday from their 36-hour visit to Bordeaux to help her and my dad following her cancer surgery. The bilateral lumpectomy seems to have been successful. As is customary, the doctor also removed two lymph nodes for testing. They will not learn the results of that analysis until April 15, but the doctor’s preliminary assessment was encouraging. My mom is still tired and weak following the operation, but overall her recovery seems to be going very well, even better than we had expected. Thank you for your prayers. Please continue to pray for God’s will to be done and peace to be given.
